Q: I tried to post a new topic in the public forums section, but it didn’t work. What didn’t it post anything?

A: The ‘Forums’ tab refers to publicly viewable threads from Public Groups. In order to post in the forums sections, you must post it into one of the public groups you belong to (there is a dropdown which will ask you which group you want to publish it to). If you see nothing in the dropdown, it is likely you are not part of any public group. This means you should join a public group on latrailhikers.com. So if you can post in a group’s internal forum, you can post from the ‘forums’ tab as well.
