HIKE DISTANCE: 3 miles approx (round-trip)
HIKE TYPE: Moderate-Medium
TRAIL WALK-THRU: With 600+ feet of elevation gain in the first mile, this hike starts as a challenge. After the series of switchbacks comes the fire road that’ll take us along the ridge (rattlesnake ridge). We’ll make our way along the road which will take us in a loop all the way back down to the parking lot.
DOG FRIENDLY?: Yes, but small dogs may get tired. Remember the to bring a leash and a baggy!
RECOMMENDED: Bring water (2 liters), Sun Screen, sweats/windbreakers (plenty of pokey dry brush) .
NOT RECOMMENDED: Small children.
NOTE: This is a real work out, you will sweat. This is not a shady hike, it’s sunshine happy. However, the view from the top will be worth the hike.
