TRAIL WALKTHROUGH:  The trail starts out with a series of shaded switch-backs, which lead to a slope that makes a slow curve around the hillside. At some point you will see red rocks and a lot of  colorful wildflowers and sparkling rocks that almost look like glitter all over the rocks. The climb then gets more intense where you are riding in grass and weeds closing in around the trial, which is well maintained. There are small rocks and logs on this climb, which makes the climb all much tiresome. This is where we will find red ants on the trail. As you continue up the steady uphill grade, you will hit some a few rolling hills. From these hills you can see Sun Valley. Continue up the hill and you reach the top, from there you have a slight down hill, which leads to the Oak Springs. THIS IS A SMALL AREA THAT IS A BEE SWARM SO BEWARE (we won’t see them but will hear them).  Right after there an amazing cool shady area by the spring where you can just kick back for a few minutes. We will cross the stream and continue upwards in between some more maintained grass and weeds. This up hill is pretty steady. Which will lead you to the fire road and continue on to Fascination Springs, and head back.

MY FRIEND SAID I CAN DO THIS HIKE, I SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO IT, RIGHT?
Contrary to popular belief, you know your body and hiking experience better than your friends. Whether you are a first-timer or an experienced hiker, please read our hike details page as the hike may not suite your experience level. We have a better experience if every hike has hikers of the intended level.

RATTLE SNAKE ALERT:  Just like with any of our hikes, stay on the trail and watch your step.  This a a fun and adventurous hike and we want to keep it as safe as possible.

PARKING FEE:  Adventure Pass  is required. (Can be purchased @ 7-Eleven – $5)
