Merry Christmas LA Trail Hikers!

Thanks everyone for making this year a spectacular one for me and all your fellow hikers. This group has definitely been a big part of my life since its inception and I’m a very grateful for all the friendly faces I’ve seen on the hikes. I would like to give special recognition all the hike leads for the commitment and leadership they contributed to the group. If it wasn’t for them, we wouldn’t have been able to go on all of this year’s great adventures. And, I hope each and everyone of you who joined us has a warm memory to share about the group. To each and every one of you, I say thanks for making our little hiking group one of the best ones out in Los Angeles! Merry Christmas to you and your families.

Sincerely,
Jason Bazalar
LA Trail Hikers Founder/Hike Lead

Social Event – Plan Upcoming Hikes and Leads (09-22-2010)

The LA Trail Hikers will be meeting on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 to organize the trails they want to do in the months of October and November. It is a great way to plan out a few Sundays ahead of time so you can invite others accordingly. We will also like to have different hikers volunteer to lead some of the hikes. Any other ideas, comments, or suggestions will be welcome. We may even be able to plan some scouting for new hikes. This is also a great opportunity for new and prospective members to meet with current hikers to get information and an idea of what we do.

We’ll get together at Casa De Luna Coffee House at 7:30pm (we will have the back room reserved for us). By the way, they have great coffee & Tea. All members/fans of LA Trail Hikers are welcome to join in on this event to provide us some feedback. We hope to see you there!

Potluck Hike – Monrovia Canyon Falls

Hey Everyone,

The LA Trail Hikers will be having their first HIKE + POTLUCK this coming Sunday, August 22, 2010.  We hope you can join us.  We’ll be posting a listing of people and the items they are signed up for. It is not a requirement for you to bring anything, but any additions will be greatly appreciated.  You can see the details at the hike details page here:

Evening Hikes at Griffith Park

I thought it would be fun to have some evening hikes out during the week in Griffith Park.  I’ll try to keep these interesting.  It is always important to hike with a buddy and Live Sex try to keep from obstructing anyone else’s evening experience by not bringing a white light flash light. Instead please use a red, blue, or green light. You’ll see them posted as we have them.

Bridge to Nowhere – Hiker Note

All hikers who will be attending the Bridge to Nowhere hike, it is important for you to read through all the details found on the hike page linked below. We reviewed the hike and have changed the level of the hike from level 6 to level 7, increasing in difficulty.

http://latrailhikers.com/hikes/bridge-to-nowhere/

We want to make sure that all hikers are well aware of what this hike entails. It is not a beginner hike and must be considered with a little more care as we’ll encounter heat factors that may impact the group’s performance. If you feel you are fully capable of doing this hike, we’ll see you and all your minimum hiking essentials on Sunday.
