We move into Spring with our March & April LATH Hike schedule. A great variety of hikes will keep us active all over Los Angeles County. Not only that, but we also have our annual Las Vegas Road Trip hike! This time visiting Valley of Fire State Park. In addition, we are also participating in the Relay for Life event in April. We hope to forward to seeing you on an upcoming hike!

– We try to schedule 2-3 months worth of hikes so we always have a fresh new set every so often.

HOW DO I PARTICIPATE WITH THE GROUP ON THIS HIKE?

2. Make sure that the Hike Level accommodates your hiking experience.
3. If, and only if it suits you, then (optional: RSVP via Facebook for the event and) show up the day of the hike with all necessary gear and water (we mention everything you need on each details page per hike).
MY FRIEND SAID I CAN DO THIS HIKE, I SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO IT, RIGHT?
Contrary to popular belief, you know your body and hiking experience better than your friends. Whether you are a first-timer or an experienced hiker, please read our hike details page as the hike may not suite your experience level. We have a better experience if every hike has hikers of the intended level.

We start our 2013 hiking season and we have a variety of hikes in January & February! Everything from famous landmarks such as the Hollywood Sign to flourishing waterfalls of Angeles National Forest and Monrovia. We hope you find a hike that suits your hiking experience level. Today marks 3 exciting years since the LA Trail Hikers organization first got its name and became open to all on August 17, 2009. It doesn’t come without any surprise that, after our first two years being a hiking group, we continue to grow and become a real staple for the hiking community within the Greater Los Angeles area. This group is definitely a gem less known.
From beginners and first-time hikers to experienced and adventurous backpackers, we encompass a variety of people who participate and make up the core participants of this organization. Having such a mix of experience levels allows our group to learn from each other about hiking basics to more seasoned topics. And where would we be without leadership? Even our hike leads find that it is important to provide essential information along the hikes. They, of all hikers, do put their time and effort into the group to help it become what it is today. It is important to recognize their efforts and thank them for what they do for our little-group-that-could.
